Rajeev Nagpal, M.D.

Dr. Rajeev Nagpal is a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist affiliated with multiple Chicagoland hospitals, including Advocate Christ Medical Center, Edward Hospital, Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, and Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Dr. Nagpal received his Pediatric Gastroenterology training at Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. He completed his Pediatric residency at Schneider Childrens Hospital in New York. Prior to that, he was trained at Kings College Hospital in London. He received his undergraduate qualifications from India. He speaks English, Hindi, and Punjabi.

Dr. Christopher J. Smith, M.D.

Christopher Smith, MD, is a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist at the Center for Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, with two locations in the Southern and Western Chicago suburbs. With over 25 years of experience in the field, he treats children with a wide variety of gastrointestinal and digestive complaints, including chronic abdominal pain, gastroesophageal reflux (GERD), allergic esophageal and intestinal disorders, chronic diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease, and ulcerative colitis, among others.

Dr. Smith attended college at the University of Notre Dame and medical school at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. He received his pediatric gastroenterology training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed his pediatric residency at Children’s Wisconsin, affiliated with Medical College of Wisconsin.

He holds multiple affiliations with Chicagoland hospitals, including Advocate Christ Medical Center, Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Edward Hospital, and AMITA Health Saint Joseph Medical Center Joliet.

In his free time, Dr. Smith enjoys road biking, fishing, and spending time with his wife and four children.

Stephanie Mensch, APN

Stephanie is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a Master’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She joined our practice in 2014 to specialize in gastrointestinal disease and nutrition. She has extensive experience in diagnosing complex conditions such as Ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease as well as treating common issues such as constipation and abdominal pain. Following diagnosis, she follows her patients closely to ensure they remain healthy.

Stephanie has been caring for children for over a decade. Prior to joining our practice, she spent many years caring for premature infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at The University of Illinois Hospital. This experience has carried over into her current practice as she now cares for many infants with reflux, colic, constipation and feeding issues.

Since joining our practice her kind and empathetic nature has been a perfect fit. Her patients and their families enjoy the thorough and personalized care they receive from her at every visit. She is available to see new and established patients at our Evergreen Park, Munster and Naperville offices.
